Covid-19 Health and Safety Policy

The health and safety of our customers, staff and contractors is paramount and we have designed a Covid-19 specific health and safety policy to ensure continued hygiene practices are strictly followed. These extra cleaning measures minimise the risk of person to person transmission of any infectious diseases, targeting Covid-19. 

 

Contact Tracing

We will be taking contact details for all passengers prior to departure

Passengers will be emailed a template to fill in a day prior to their scheduled flight. This includes an acknowledgement that they are not showing or had contact with any person(s) that have symptoms of Covid-19 or had returned from overseas within 14 days or had contact with anyone returning from overseas within the last 14 days. 

 

True South Flights staff are expected to keep a diary of contacts and to make it available if required.

 

Social Distancing

True South Flights staff will be maintaining social distancing and are asking passengers to adhere to government guidelines with us.

 

Operations

-Rostering of staffing will be kept at minimum levels for safe operation, to reduce exposure to one another.

-Bookings for scenic flights will be taken preferably by email to reduce office workload.

-Sanitising all common surfaces after each departure will be undertaken by office staff.

-All passengers and pilot will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by True South Flights during the flight. This will have to stay on for the duration of the flight.

-All passengers and pilot will be required to sanitise hands before boarding flight.

-Aircraft and office and any other common surfaces will be sanitised after each use. These common surfaces include but are not limited to Check in Desk, Door handles, hand rails, bathroom facilities, aircraft seats/seatbelts/doorhandles/headsets.

-We encourage passengers to use their own transport to reduce exposure to others but should the courtesy shuttle be required there are procedures in place (PPE, sanitisation) to minimise the risk.

 

Level Changes

During Level 1 we can operate with no limitations on business. We provide the covid tracer and hand sanitizer in the office for guests to use. Our high traffic areas such as, bathrooms and headsets are cleaned and sanitized regularly.  Social distancing can be observed everywhere except the planes, and is recommended.

 

During Level 2 we can operate with some limitations. Social distancing of 1 metre must be observed in the office and on the cruise. Guests and crew are required to wear masks in all our aircrafts, we provide disposable masks in our office if guests can't provide their own. We encourage all guests to check in on the COVID tracer at time of check in. Our high traffic zones are cleaned and sanitized between departures. 

 

During Levels 3 & 4 we are unable to operate under current government guidelines. We will contact affected bookings to attempt to reschedule for future dates.
